04.01.2026 My third trip to the Núi Bà Đen, see Black Virgin Mountain III - finally a success! The last trip was Black Virgin Mountain II on December 12th to investigate some path, and today I tested 2 different path to go up and down. 4 years ago I reached only the front gate, because it was closed due to Covid-19. That was on December 24th, 2021. Short at Black Virgin Mountain - Núi Bà Đen. Now, more than 4 years later, I finally make it to the top. Climbing up 2 hours, down just 1h15.

19.01.2026 Start of the second semester? Our Zalo group was curious yesterday, but the start is postponed by another week! Time for self study. I get some end-rolls for my physical printouts of the Timeline project. 40k for 10 rolls in 20cm length, but usually one end has a hanger screwed in. I removed them, and filed the two holes down. Can I just order without the hanger? I visited the store in district 12, same price - but they would just throw away the other part, they don’t produce this. If I only use 50% this would mean 8k per printout instead of 4k. Sad that it comes down to price. And I started a new repository for the timeline as html: kreier.github.io/tl.
20.01.2026 I reactivate the old igshcmc.de domain and direct it to a Github page. It works easy and fast! After being abandoned for almost 10 years (registered September 26th, 2016, see September 2016) it is still only 0,50 Euro per month, including 2GB of mail storage and 10 subdomains. Let’s see what projects I’m going to use it for.

09.02.2026 This took a while. Finally visiting RE COM again to repair my Thinkpad X370 I also took the M590 from Logitech with me to have the Kailth Silent installed. Price to solder in two buttons: 20,000 VND - less than a dollar (fro a year ago: February 2025. Now the mouse works again!

18.02.2026 A while ago I planned to use a Nvidia P100 for my LLM projects. I wanted to put it in to my Penta-GPU server i3-6100 in early 2025. Today I realized that I can just rent this GPU at Kaggle! Since I have an old account since November 2018 I can easily start my benchmark from a browser and save 5 million VND! 19.02.2026 Benchmarking my Penta-GPU server i3-6100: The larger 24GB 30B nematron-3-nano is more than 4x faster compared to similar sized models because of the MoE architecture! It might be useful for my privacy oriented OpenClaw agentic engineering project.
20.02.2026 I try to import the commits to Sourceforge for my ar65view program. I change the names of the author (my nickname saiht) to my own name - and now my Github history goes back to 2011! Just with the new ar65view-svn repository. Prior to that it only started 2018 with python2018

01.03.2026 Got accepted for the Full STEAM Ahead conference at SSIS. 9 years after my first visit to SSIS for the VTC - Vietnam Tech Conference.
02.03.2026 Starting 6:30 am is a trip to Monkey Island II. Later caught up with the boy after my zoom Vietnamese lesson. Evening downtown Saigon with Pablo and Simon.

04.03.2026 RE COM had indirectly already repaired my P106-100. Now even my HP Z600 Workstation is working again. They fixed the power supply! The Huawei of Moises can’t be repaired. But got both back!

06.03.2026 Preparation day for circuit assembly in Thanh Da. Almost all done by lunch! Afternoon setup for English.
07.03.2026 Circuit assembly in English, now without Hanoi. Trung Tâm has 3 of the 7 that got baptized, rushed to Quán Sông Trăng to meet with the other brothers and sisters that welcomed our 3 new sisters! More than 1000 in attendance.
08.03.2026 Once more the Circuit assembly “Thờ phượng theo thần khí và chân lý” at Thanh Da, with 975 attending and 8 getting baptized. Met some brothers and sisters from Tân Tạo, Kỳ Hòa and Tân Thành.
09.03.2026 Monday morning, 8:30 back to study in person at the university! Many presents from China, it’s their culture. I have only my timeline project and to explain, why the Le dynasty is not mapped correctly in Vietnamese. Will work on it.

11.03.2026 After the morning 8:30 - 11:00 Vietnamese lesson I take a trip to Tri An lake, Núi lửa Sok Lu and Núi Chứa Chan. A hike should be possible with better preparation.
12.03.2026 Remembering our hometowns I finally got the locations of my study group together. And we’re from all over the world! In the evening we visit the Lễ hội ẩm thực Triều Châu (Teochew Food Festival) at the Hội Quán Nghĩa An with our study group. Quite an interesting part of Chinese migration and preservation of their culture!
13.03.2026 We finished book 2 in our Vietnamese 3 & 4 lesson. Next: Book 3 for the rest of the semester.
14.03.2026 Wedding No. 1 in Tây Ninh. Start 6:45 with 9 brothers and sisters from the KH. My Banh Mi is not ready in time. A few pictures in the rubber tree forrest - not often viewed by city people! More than 100 guests, some familiar faces from Tây Ninh and Trảng Bàng. But by 12:30 it is already over! I have to get used to this cultural phenomena.
15.03.2026 Wedding No. 2 in Phan Thiết. Start 6:00 This will be 2 rough days. But after 4 hours we’re already there, I find accommodation 210 meters from my friends and get a discount for 200k per night. Lunch and short trip to Núi Tà Cú I. At 16:30 for wedding reception at the beach with so many old and new friends!
16.03.2026 Sunrise in Phan Thiet is at 5:54, and I’m at the beach to witness it! A short 3k jogging round, then into the waves. Breakfast, lunch, pickle ball, evening with friends and bride and groom, and relaxed final chat at non nuoc.
17.03.2026 I would have to leave at 9:00 to catch my afternoon class in Saigon. By 10:00 we start to return the two rented bikes, snacks on the way back. ALOHA looks perfect for Instagram, a hangout for rich people. We enjoy snack and drinks, 12:30 heading back for the city. The parts through the rubber tree forests are again distinctively cooler than other parts of the road. I get stopped by the police for driving in the wrong lane. But after a warning I am let go.
