Usually the new school year starts on September 1st. In 1982 it falls on a Wednesday, so maybe the party and pictures took place the weekend before.
Anyway, still being only 6 years old, this starts my journey at school!
In 2002 I found some of my old notes and digitalized it for my homepage. One part was Deutschunterricht in der DDR - The lessons about the German Language in school in the German Democratic Republic..
I found a picture with my cousins and siblings. It was an interesting talking point when I visited my cousin Ramona in September 2024.
And I reflected on this day when I began to add another 4 years of education in October 2025.
